[Ground Generation from Measured Points] Back to Index

As seen on the next image, there are several areas having no measured points.
First of all, set artificial points on areas having no measured points. This operation is easy with NfDesign.
Next the program called SimpPS changes point-clouds to the same density distribution as much as possible.
The number of points are reduced.
Finally 3DChain can change overhang points to TINs.
Collaboration of NfDesign editing and 3DChain makes it available to generate smooth overhang ground.

    [Measured Point-clouds of Ground]
The image indicates measured points of ground including overhang.

[Set Artificial Points on Vacant Areas]
NfDesign extension command makes it possible to add points to vacant areas by reffering boundary points.
    Red points are added.

[Change the same points distribution as much as possible]
SimpPS changes point-clouds to the same density distribution as much as possible
and the points number becomes 10 per cent as the result.

    [Generating TINs and Editing]
3DChain makes it possible to change overhang points toTINs.
Wrong TINs will appear and NfDesign can edit to better TINs.

    [Generation of Contours]
Material command of NfDesign can set a material making poosible to indicate contours at rendering.
Here every 25cm contours have appeared.
